Ukrainian Orphans Encounter Peace, Joy, and Jesus at Summer Camp
Thanks to your generous support and faithful prayers, dozens of orphaned children in war-torn Ukraine experienced a summer they will never forget.
In the midst of ongoing conflict, where explosions, air raid sirens, and fear are part of daily life, this summer camp offered one full week of peace. No missiles. No drones. Just laughter, beauty, and the tender presence of God.
Despite soaring heat (95°F), God answered prayer — cloud cover cooled the days. Children who arrived ill were healed after prayer, their eyes wide with wonder as they realized God hears them. Even in the face of medical challenges — including hospital visits — God’s Spirit moved powerfully. One night, a midnight prayer turned into hours of testimony and tears. The Holy Spirit broke through walls of fear, opening young hearts to trust and healing.
Camp was filled with joy:
🎲 Laughter over games and songs
🍽 Shock and delight over generous meals
🏊 Pure awe as many swam for the very first time
🏔 Wide eyes at Ukraine’s tallest waterfall
📖 Quiet moments holding a Bible — some for the first time
One camper summed it up:
“We thought Christian camp would be boring. But it was so much fun!”
Maria shared,
“I dreamed of climbing a mountain — and my dream came true!”
Anya confided,
“I don’t want to go home. The leaders here love and understand me.”
And 15-year-old Sofia said,
“I learned that Jesus Christ loves me and wants to change my life.”
By the end of camp, every single child was in tears. They didn’t want to leave the love and peace they had found.
Your generosity made all this possible. Because you gave, prayed, and cared, children heard the gospel, felt safe, experienced joy, and tasted God’s abundant love. You helped them believe again — in friendship, in hope, and in a Savior who sees and loves them.

Makes me what to cry as to the challenges the Ukraine orphans go through. Love that they just had time to be kids at the summer camp.
