Just a few months ago, we told you of Moses who was brought to the El Shaddai Boys Home after his home caught fire and his mother was stripped of parental rights. We explained that several weeks later, his sister was released from the hospital and brought to the home. Because it is a boys’ home with only one bedroom, the staff of El Shaddai were forced to decline keeping this four-year-old girl.

She was released to the streets.

When we shared with you a vision to provide a home where siblings could stay together in this Kenyan village, you answered generously, providing funds for the foundation.

In August, four staff members and a key donor traveled to Kenya to hold a VBS for the boys of El Shaddai and to make plans for the building’s construction. Prayers were answered as logistical plans, key personnel, and accountability measures were discussed. You can’t imagine our partners’ excitement when we turned over the funds for the foundation!

While in Limuru, we were able to attend a church service on “Youth Sunday.” We thoroughly enjoyed the worship time, devotions, and even dance lead by the church’s young people. The highlight for many of us was listening to the main message, brought to us by one of the young men living at El Shaddai Children’s Center. His message was meaty and his delivery was polished. He made us so proud!

Thank you for helping to provide a safe home and loving family for the orphaned children of Limuru. You are not only providing a physical foundation for their home, but also a spiritual foundation of knowing Christ. And that will last for eternity!
