How to Help Orphans Around the World From Home

As Christians, we are called to care for the vulnerable and marginalized, including orphans. While the task may seem daunting, there are practical ways we can make a significant impact from the comfort of our own homes.

Join us as we explore how to help orphans around the world from home—providing them with the support and love they so desperately need.

Fundraise and Donate

Donations and fundraising are crucial to equip leaders around the globe to care for orphans in their own communities.

Whether you would like to make a general donation or have a specific project in mind, there are many different options when it comes to fundraising. You could host a garage sale, organize an exciting online auction, sell snacks at an event’s concessions, or even set up a charming lemonade stand and donate all the proceeds. You can also kickstart your very own orphan wish list campaign. These campaigns are a fantastic way to fulfill the wishes and needs of children in our partner homes, whether it’s birthday gifts, Christmas presents, school supplies, or more. These campaigns are perfect for offices, classrooms, and church groups alike, bringing joy and essentials to those who need it most.

Pray

As with any situation, the most powerful thing we can do for these orphans is pray. Consider dedicating time during the day to pray for the millions of abandoned children in need of hope, love, and support.

We invite you to petition our heavenly Father to spark a vibrant movement within His global family, infusing each member with love and hope for these vulnerable souls. Send up prayers for the protection and growth of these children and this organization so that we may be able to provide for them and remind them that they are His beloved children.

Amidst the challenges of distance and resources, prayer emerges as a simple yet impactful way to contribute positively to the lives of orphans around the world.

Spread the Word on Social Media

Social media has become a useful tool in advocating for the welfare of orphans worldwide without ever stepping outside our homes.

Crafting engaging posts and interacting with and sharing content from The Boaz Project can truly work wonders for spreading the word about the global orphan crisis, boosting our brand visibility, and promoting crucial events. By simply hitting that ‘share’ button or leaving a thoughtful comment, we’re not just scrolling through feeds—we’re actively making a difference in the lives of those in need.

Additionally, if you’ve had a positive experience with The Boaz Project, please consider taking a moment to leave us a review on Google and across social media platforms. Your kind words not only validate our efforts but also help establish us as a trusted and reliable organization.

Together, through our online presence and support, we can create a brighter future for orphaned children worldwide.

Coming from an Orphan Advocate Trainee I will have to say this has been the best decision I’ve made! I made the choice to come alongside Boaz to better understand there mission & it’s been beautiful just as the people who work for Boaz! I love how Boaz also offers a wish list to help orphans out even more by fundraising. I’m so blessed to know this organization & they will continue to amaze me on what an impact they make all around the world.

Currently going through Orphan Advocate Training and building a habit of daily prayer with my kids. It starts with a small step.

  3. Patty Garry says:

Sometimes I think we either underestimate or forget the power of prayer. Being a Christian many years, I’ve seen how God works in miraculous ways to answer prayers. I started with general prayers for the orphans and The Boaz Project then as I learned more about their needs, my prayers have become more specific and more urgent. I feel anyone that hears about these children will want to help them and praying is one thing we can all do that is extremely important.

Learning about the needs of the children and their family caregivers has been very uplifting to me and I hope others will take the time to become more informed so they can also be encouraged to pray more, help in other ways and talk to their friends about these deserving children and The Boaz Project’s success in helping them.
