In 2004, when I took my first trip with The Boaz Project, I never could have imagined the path God would have me walk. Life has dictated different seasons of involvement in caring for orphans, but God continues to stretch me into new and changing roles.

I have the privilege to be a firsthand witness to individual apprentices of Jesus doing their part to live out the command of James 1:27—to look after orphans in their distress.

Thank you for obeying God's call and allowing me to walk with you as you process difficult information, study His Word, and step into your own giftings. I cannot wait to see how He uses you to care for the vulnerable.

As the Orphan Advocate Training Coordinator for The Boaz Project, Jessi focuses on engaging people in advocating on behalf of orphans and their caregivers. She is grateful that God has always had a plan for these precious children, and it includes each one of us. Jessi spends her days helping trainees find unique ways to live out God's command to look after orphans in their distress. It is Jessi's joy to walk alongside people as they come to see how God can use them to make an impact from right where they are.
