One of the most remarkable aspects of the Christian life is being able to witness God working in and through the lives of our fellow believers.

Testimonies are so powerful, as they not only motivate us to persevere in our daily lives, but point us back to the Source of all mighty and good works in this life- our one and only Heavenly Father.

At The Boaz Project, we are blessed to partner with families and individuals in Russia, India, and Kenya who are committed to praising God for everything He has done and continues to do.

During our most recent livestream, we had the opportunity to hear first-hand testimonies by representatives from each of the countries we work in. We were reminded once again of God’s sovereign hand in the global work of caring for orphans, and the instrumental way in which He is using our partners overseas and our donors to directly impact the lives of orphans.

One of the biggest takeaways, and the common thread throughout the conversations with our partners, was that the thing they treasure most about their work with orphans is the deep, personal relationships they are able to form with the children.

Pastor Steve expressed his joy in seeing the growth of orphaned boys in Kenya who have come to call El Shaddai Children’s Center home. He shared his gratefulness for being able to maintain contact with many of the boys after they have graduated and gone out into society, their family bond enduring through the years.

In India, Pastor Christopher and Janani continue to follow God’s call on their lives to welcome orphans into their family. Stories of redemption flow from their loving home, as children who were once afraid and insecure transform into happy, confident kids who bring such joy to their lives.

Nastya, our Vladimir coordinator, along with a group of volunteers, regularly meets with children living in Russian orphanages who are in desperate need of genuine love and attention. It was beautiful to hear her share her heart for the children she has been able to form meaningful relationships with. “I want them to know they are not alone in this big world,” she said.

The most important commonality between our partners is that everything they do is motivated by their dedication to Jesus and desire to share His love and truth to orphans in their communities. Their relationships with the children have the power to point them towards the ultimate relationship with Jesus Christ.

It is because of the obedience of individuals like you, who understand God’s heart for orphans, that our partners are able to willingly accept orphans into their homes and continue to step into dark places to show Christ’s love to children in need.

Every single one of us has a role to play in orphan care, and each obedient step is significant. We pray that you are encouraged by the testimony of our incredible ministry partners.

May we be people who follow God where He commands us to go and joyfully testify of the things He has done.

“My mouth will tell of your righteous acts, of your deeds of salvation all the day, for their number is past my knowledge. With the mighty deeds of the Lord God I will come; I will remind them of your righteousness, yours alone.” -Psalm 71:15-16
