After just three days of marriage, Pastor Tonglen and Glory Diana took in their first orphan.

When I appeared caught by surprise at that, they answered simply, “We knew God had called us to serve Him together by caring for orphans. Why would we wait to obey Him?”

Their question rattled in my mind. Honestly, I could think of a few reasons. There’s the honeymoon, for one. Then there’s figuring out life as a new family: the deciding who’s going to cook and who’s taking out the trash. What about the desire to sleep at night?

I’m embarrassed to say the list in my head grew lengthy. But not theirs. For them it was simple: God had called them to the orphan, so they were moving full-force ahead…after just three days of marriage.

Over the years, they’ve raised about 20 children now—children not of her womb or his DNA, but children made family by the providence of God.

They give selflessly every day, as committed to obeying God today as they were when they eagerly took that first boy into their brand-new family years ago.

But soon, they will have no home to shelter the orphans in their care. Their landlord plans to tear down the house they’re in so he can build an apartment building in its place. This leaves the couple with 12 orphans and no place to go.

Some generous donors have been so touched by Pastor Tonglen and Glory Diana’s ministry that they have donated $47,000 toward a home them. What’s more, they’ve pledged to match every dollar you give through the end of the year, up to an additional $20,000! If you help us make the most of this matching grant, we’ll have the $87,000 necessary to provide a permanent home for this powerful ministry to orphans.

So my question for you is this: if God has called us to care for the orphan, why would we wait to obey Him?

Please let Pastor Tonglen and Glory Diana know you’re with them as they minister to orphans in Bangalore by contributing to this home today. Just visit www.boazproject.org/agape to make your donation. And remember, your gift will be matched dollar-for-dollar, going twice as far!

Thank you for your generosity.
