| As with every team, it is so inspiring to see everyone bring their gifts and talents to the Last month, God brought a team of seven together to travel to India and spend time in BY Home, visiting the children and caregivers. This is the first time in many years that we’ve been able to have a full team to work in India. Not only is it an answer to prayer, it is a glimpse of the future for The Boaz Project. Amidst busy streets, brightly colored buildings, and the aroma of deliciously spiced foods sits a home filled with love. The children of BY Home embody true joy, which we know can only come from the Lord. This was the consistent refrain of our team members – that, though they are surrounded by a culture that often rejects faith in Jesus, they are a light and a testimony to the transforming power of our Savior. Throughout the week, our team engaged the children in a Vacation Bible School focused on experiencing God’s presence through our five senses. As they got to know the children in their groups, they were able to see their personalities, talents, and potential. Our team also had the opportunity to spend intentional time with the caregivers in the home, asking them questions about their home and culture and offering prayer and encouragement. It is because of the faithful, consistent care of our partners that the children are healing and growing. Dr. Susie Galford, team member and Director of Training for The Boaz Project, expressed, “The Boaz Project has partnered with caregivers who are providing the bread of life and living water of Jesus, nourishing the children’s souls along with their bodies.” This trip was all about quality time, sharing meals with one another, playing games, and taking the time to intentionally pray over each child and caregiver. One beautiful surprise was when the caregivers showed their appreciation to the women on our team by giving them beautiful hairstyles, vibrant makeup looks, and intricate henna designs on their hands and feet. Upon saying their goodbyes to the children and caregivers of BY Home, our team’s hearts were beyond full. They knew with full confidence that the children would continue to be cared for, loved, and taught about Jesus. Orphan Advocate and Regional Specialist, Sarah Shake, shared this powerful message: “I think some people leave a mission trip wondering what the rest of the children’s stories will be. They may think they were such an integral part of their story that they may worry what will happen to the children when they leave. I have had the chance to experience that I am just a small sentence in their story, which is being continued by their caregivers who have invested their lives into raising these children as their own. So, I’m not going away sad. I’m going away happy and more invested in The Boaz Project than I was before I came.” We know that the ultimate Author of all our stories is our Heavenly Father, and we are in awe of how He is using believers around the world to write stories of redemption for orphans. Thank you for your prayers for this team. Please join us in continuing to pray for our brothers and sisters in India, as they faithfully serve orphans and shine as a light for Jesus in their communities. |

Thanks for the team and for the confidence you built on the children whenever you visit them no more worries joy is evident.
How amazing to spend time with the caregivers! Being able to engage with them, ask questions, share life experiences, pray together and spur each other on. Their dedication is inspiring and the work they do is life changing, both on this side of Heaven and the one to come!
I like the idea of group homes and having the family environment.
