| We first met Pastor Benjamin when he came to house parent training in India as an interpreter. He is the younger brother of Sister Christy (HJ Girls’ Home) and Pastor Philip (BL Boy’s Home). In his younger adulthood, Pastor Benjamin went to Bible college and then was a missionary in the Middle East for several years. Upon returning to India, his family arranged a marriage for him, bringing Jansi into the family. When we first met him, he was excited to show us photos of his newborn daughter, Jerusha, who is now 2. Since getting married a few years ago, Pastor Benjamin and Jansi have served the Lord in many ways. One of the needs they saw in their community was for an at-risk families outreach. After attending our training, Pastor Benjamin deeply felt the need for kids to stay with their parents whenever possible, so he began to visit kids in their own homes and support the family unit as much as he was able. In an update to us, he expressed, “We are thankful to God for another blessed week and for the opportunity to visit our children once again. It is always a joy to see their smiling faces and hear their laughter—a reminder of God’s goodness and faithfulness.” We are very excited to be in partnership with Pastor Benjamin and Jansi as they visit the kids regularly, help meet their needs, and love them with the love of Christ. In addition, The Boaz Project supports the kids in their program with tuition, school supplies, uniforms, and birthday and Christmas gifts. |
